Insurance Solutions Geelong P/L was formed by the merger of Insurance Solutions (Insurance Agencies) P/L and Don Shields and Associates on 1st of September 2003, when Don Shields purchased Insurance Solutions from Jeff Beaumont.(Don Shields pictured below).

Insurance Solutions (Insurance Agencies) P/L was formed in 1995 and Don Shields and Associates (formerly Shields Insurance Services) was formed in 1993. However Don Shields has been in the insurance industry since 1982.

At merger Insurance Solutions Geelong P/L had 4 staff, and has now grown to 9 staff, through the acquisition and merger of
–Allan Dempsey & Associates
–John Firth & Associates
–Station Street Insurance 

Today Insurance Solutions Geelong is Geelong's third largest Insurance Brokerage with over 5000 clients and 3.5 million annual premium placed through over 40 Insurance Companies and underwriter agencies.
 

Insurance Solutions Geelong Pty Ltd is licensed to arrange and deal in general and life risk products on behalf of our clients.  Our Australian Financial Services Licence number is 243289. As an Insurance Broker we are YOUR representative and our first responsibility is to YOU. Unlike an Insurance Agent who represents the insurance company.  We are licensed and regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), and can deal with any insurance company, other brokers and underwriting agencies in sourcing your insurance. An agent is appointed and controlled by the insurance company they represent, and can only deal with insurance companies for whom they have a written appointment.  Our role as YOUR Insurance Broker is to:
